Disconnect your account

You are always in control of the account you connect. You can disconnect Instagram from MsgMaven at any time — this stops all message processing and removes the stored access tokens.

Disconnect from inside MsgMaven

  1. Log in and open Settings → Channels.
  2. Find your Instagram connection.
  3. Select Disconnect and confirm.

Go to Settings → Channels (you'll be asked to log in first).

What happens when you disconnect

  • The stored access token is deleted immediately.
  • MsgMaven stops receiving webhooks and processing new messages.
  • We stop sending any replies on your behalf.

Remove MsgMaven from Meta

You can also revoke access directly from Meta at any time:

  • Instagram: in the Instagram app, go to Settings → Website permissions / Apps and websites, find MsgMaven, and remove it.

Delete your data

Disconnecting stops processing and removes access tokens. To also delete stored conversation data, use the Data Deletion page or email privacy@msgmaven.com. MsgMaven also honours Meta's Data Deletion Request callback automatically.
